In November 2024 I fulfilled a lifetime wish to visit Japan and study the origins of what we term “lean management”. Joining a group of other enthusiasts from around the globe, I visited a number of high-performing companies, immersed myself in Japanese culture and gained a deeper appreciation of what is really needed to deliver “high performance with ease” through a people centred business.
This booklet collects my daily reflections during the trip and some deeper relfections subsequently.
